When I googled myself I found a plethora of sites containing my name from Facebook to track & field. I found nothing bad or inappropriate about me or anyone else on my Facebook. My Facebook tells people what I am interested in and what I dislike. My Facebook implies that I enjoy a variety of sports and music, I like to have fun and play video games, also I'm able to take care of serious situations. If a college or job were to view my Facebook I would have a better chance of being accepted to that school or hired for the job.
I want to be known as a smart athletic individual that is capable to overcome anything that is in my way preventing me in succeeding.

In the article "College Prospects are Being Watched on Facebook and Twitter" many athletes and students are noticing that they are being watched by their coaches, employees and employers, colleges and their own teachers. I personally can relate to this because I also found out I was being watched on social media when I made a comment about how much homework we have in the class and the teacher tweeted at me that "I decreased the homework not increased it." People are not being wary about what the post on their social media sites, its up the student if they want to have a future or not.
In the article "37 Percent Employers Use Facebook to Pre-Screen to Applicants" Jobs are cracking down are who they are hiring. 37 percent of jobs admitted to checking their employees social media sites to get more information on who is working for them. Applicants are getting fed up with this and are starting to protest this new way in hiring people to a job. When I applied for my job at Publix they checked my Facebook to see if I was acceptable to be employed there. They told me nothing was wrong with my Facebook and they liked my interests. Some people are okay with jobs checking their social media because they have nothing to hide, but others that post pictures of drugs and alcohol are fed up because they are being judged to quickly and won't be able to compete with someone else that applied for the job they applied for.
